Learning Through Community Engagement

What does it take to start a new life in an unfamiliar country?

Our IB students explored this question during their visit to the St. Vid Development and Integration Centre in Rijeka. Originally established to support the integration of Ukrainian refugees, the centre now welcomes and assists anyone in need of support in becoming part of the local community.

The visit offered students a deeper understanding of the challenges refugees face and highlighted the importance of empathy, inclusion, solidarity, and respect for human dignity.

We are delighted that some parents of our IB students are also involved in the Centre’s work and activities, and we look forward to future cooperation.

Learning beyond the classroom. Living our values. Making a difference in the community!
